Loading... Please wait...Compact fluorescent light bulbs are commonly used in commercial and residential applications to save energy. Compact fluorescent light bulbs produce more light output while using less wattage. The typically rule of thumb is to multiply the compact fluorescent (CFL) wattage by 4 and that should give you an idea of light output equal to an incandescent light bulb. An example would be (25 watt compact fluorescent = 100 watt incandescent light bulb). Many compact fluorescents (CFL) lamp have a very long life of 10,000+ hours which greatly reduce replacement costs in addition to the energy savings. CFL light bulbs come in many different color options as well like 2700K (warm white), 3000K (natural white), 3500K (soft white), 4100K (cool white), 5000K (daylight), and 6500K (full spectrum).
